The only post office in the world named after Santa Claus is once again readying to adorn a flood of holiday letters with its unique postmark.
The Southern Indiana town’s special cancellation stamp will be available through Dec. 24 at the Santa Claus Post Office , located at 45 Kringle Place, officials announced this week.
Each December, the small-town post office handles an avalanche of holiday mail — upward of 400,000 pieces last year — from families hoping to add a festive touch to their cards.
“This special cancellation continues a tradition that has delighted patrons for more than four decades,” organizers said in a statement announcing the new cancellation stamps.
