IndiGo cancelled over 350 flights on Thursday as it tried to stabilise its operations that have been badly impacted by shortage of pilots.

Cancellations were reported at all the major airports including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad and these disrupted travel plans of thousands of travellers. In Pune, other carriers were hit too as all parking bays remained occupied in the morning due to IndiGo pilot shortage. This resulted in diversion of six flights including those of IndiGo, Air India, Akasa Air and Fly 91. Flight delays at Pune persisted throughout the day.

An emergency landing of a Hyderabad-bound IndiGo Airbus A320 aircraft at Mumbai following a bomb scare added to the woes. A shortage of ground personnel at Mumbai airport too slowed down the operations, it is learnt.
