If there is one thing that the early-season men's college basketball season provides, it's the marquee matchups that could feel like NCAA Tournament-caliber games.
That continued with the ACC/SEC Challenge that took place across Tuesday, Dec. 2 and Wednesday, Dec. 3.
The two-day inter-conference series between the ACC and SEC provided some fireworks, including Isaiah Evans hitting a go-ahead 3-pointer to lead No. 4 Duke to a 67-66 win over 14th-ranked, defending national champion Florida inside Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Then there was No. 17 North Carolina winning a thriller against No. 18 Kentucky at Rupp Arena on Dec 2. The SEC bounced back on the second night after opening 3-6, picking up wins from No. 23 Arkansas over No. 6 Louisville, No. 12 Alabama over Clemson and No. 16 Vanderbilt over SMU on Dec. 3.
Of course, there were some surprising wins to come out series, as well. That includes Syracuse, a team that went winless at the Players Era championship, defeating No. 13 Tennessee at home. Virginia also picked up a road win at Texas.
