Bhubaneswar: A major tragedy was averted as an OSRTC (Odisha State Road Transport Corporation ) bus caught fire at Balanda chhak in Bargarh, with 25 passengers escaping unhurt. The bus, which was travelling from Padampur to Bargarh, was completely gutted in the blaze.

According to eyewitnesses, passengers noticed smoke emanating from the vehicle, prompting the driver to stop and evacuate everyone on board. The fire brigade team arrived promptly and extinguished the flames.

Local police have launched an investigation into the incident.
