Prosecutors in the Brian Walshe trial called a key witness to the stand Thursday morning — William Fastow — the man Walshe’s wife, Ana, was having an affair with when she died.
Fastow is a real estate broker in Washington, D.C., who met the Walshes when he sold them a townhouse in the nation’s capital in 2022. At the time, Ana Walshe was working in D.C. after getting a job at Tishman Speyer, a global property management firm.
On the stand Thursday morning, Fastow said he and Ana Walshe quickly hit it off — becoming friends, then confidantes and eventually beginning a romantic relationship. Fastow, who was separated, said he and Walshe “would share conversations about our lives, what we were going through, personal troubles.”
