Bruins injuries: Another new face joins the Boston blue line.

BOSTON — Another Bruins defenseman is headed to injured reserve, which has prompted the recall of a new face from the AHL.

With Michael Callahan joining Charlie McAvoy, Henri Jokiharju and Jordan Harris on injured reserve, Victor Soderstom will join the varsity on an emergency basis.

The 24-year-old from Sweden has had a goal and eight assists in 18 games for the Providence Bruins. The right-shot defenseman will be the 10th to appear in a game for Boston in 29 games.

He has 53 career NHL games under his belt, all with the Arizona Coyotes, and has a goal and 10 assists in those games.
