Gary Ridgway is in the waiting room of the express train to hell.
The man known as the notorious Green River Killer , who terrorized the Seattle area for nearly two decades, is now receiving end-of-life care in a Washington state prison, KIRO Newsradio is reporting.
During the 1980s and 1990s, the prolific killer targeted vulnerable women along Pacific Highway South near the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). His victims were mostly teen runaways or drug-addicted sex workers, who all simply vanished.
Ridgway’s victims’ bodies were later found in wooded areas, many near the Green River.
When he was finally arrested, prosecutors took the death penalty off the table in exchange for Ridgway, now 76, helping law enforcement locate the bodies of his victims. He eventually pleade
