Michigan lost one of its top ranked players in the 2026 class, as four-star wide receiver Zion Robinson has flipped from the Wolverines to Stanford on Thursday during the early signing period.

Robinson had been committed since June after taking official visits to Michigan, Stanford, Miami and Nebraska. Other schools like TCU (where his father went to school), SMU and Texas Tech were also involved before he chose the Wolverines.

It’s unclear what exactly happened here, but he did post on his Instagram story on Wednesday that he was delaying signing his letter of intent “until further notice.” The language he used made is sound ominous and like he was listening to the NIL overtures of other programs.
