The Christmas spirit has arrived as the famous Coca-Cola truck rolled into an Ipswich care home for a secret surprise.

The iconic vehicle arrived at Avocet Court Care Home on Thursday morning in a surprise visit, leaving residents awestruck and dancing in their chairs.

Only a select few of the staff had been told about the secret event - with the visit held tightly under wraps by general manager, Ruth Garnham, and her team.

“It’s just so amazing", said Mrs Garnham.

“The staff have done such an amazing job to make this so special. It’s amazing to see all of the residents smiling and jolly."

Joe Sparkes, 88, who lives at the home and is from Ipswich, added: “It’s just so lovely.

“We had no idea what was happening, and so it’s a brilliant surprise.
