Reversing action by his own Justice Department, President Donald Trump has pardoned the co-founder of the Oak View Group, manager of venues including Des Moines' Iowa Events Center, including Casey's Center, formerly Wells Fargo Arena.

Tim Leiweke was charged in July with rigging bids for a Texas arena.

Leiweke, who stepped down as CEO of Oak View after his indictment, becoming vice chair of the company's board, has previously denied any wrongdoing, the Austin American-Stateman reported. Trump's executive grant of clemency was dated Tuesday, Dec. 2.
