Human remains dragged to a Center Point home by a dog four different times in one year have now been identified as a 25-year-old man missing since 2024.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Thursday identified the victim as Curtis Taylor Jr., a visually impaired man who vanished nearly two years ago.
Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said investigators used DNA and dental records to positively identify Taylor.
His death is being investigated as a homicide.
Taylor, who was visually impaired, was last seen Feb. 6, 2024, when he told his mother that he was going to spend some time with his father. Both parents lived in the Center Point area, but Taylor at the time was living with his mother.
