Bargarh: At least 25 passengers had a narrow escape after a bus of the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) caught fire in Bargarh district on Thursday.

As per preliminary information, the OSRTC bus caught fire at Balanda Chhak while travelling from Padampur to Bargarh. While the vehicle was reportedly gutted in the blaze, all the passengers escaped unhurt. ADVERTISEMENT

Sources said the passengers noticed smoke emanating from the vehicle, prompting the driver to stop and evacuate everyone on board. The fire service team arrived promptly and extinguished the flames.

On being informed, a police team visited the site and launched an investigation into the incident.
