Tributes are pouring in for a Blackley legend following his death at the age of 54. Mark Pinder was a much-loved member of the community , known for helping people as much as he could and having the 'kindest heart'.

Despite being homeless, Mark would help the elderly; clean the streets; tidy people's gardens; and 'made everyone feel safe'. He sadly passed away last Sunday (November 30).

Members of the Manchester suburb want to see his legacy live on by renaming an area of woodland after him. The area was known as Mark's 'kingdom'.

His sister said: "Since his passing the outpouring of love for him has been phenomenal. He did lots of things to help the elderly in the community. He looked out for people, making everyone feel safe, he cleaned the streets, he helped people
