The legal dispute over late industrialist Sunjay Kapur ’s personal estate intensified in the Delhi High Court, with Priya Kapur’s counsel asserting that allegations raised by Rani Kapur were “factually incorrect” and unsupported by records.

During the hearing, Priya’s counsel told the court that Rani Kapur’s claim that Sunjay earned ₹60 crore as salary was misleading, clarifying that his actual salary for FY24 was ₹10 crore, while a one-time, non-recurring bonus of ₹50 crore was separately paid. After TDS of ₹23.5 crore, Sunjay received ₹36.5 crore in hand, of which ₹28.5 crore was used to purchase two UK immovable assets that were clearly listed in his will and acquired during his lifetime.
