OKLAHOMA CITY — OKC Will Rogers International Airport will launch CLEAR ‘s biometric eGates on Thursday, joining nearly 15 airports nationwide that have adopted the technology to expedite security screening.
The eGates allow CLEAR+ members to verify their identity in under five seconds, bypassing the TSA podium and proceeding directly to physical screening. The technology represents a significant advancement in checkpoint automation, arriving during a critical period as TSA recently recorded its busiest day ever, screening more than 3.1 million travelers.
OKC joins George Bush Intercontinental Airport, William P. Hobby Airport and Sacramento International Airport in rolling out eGates this week. The technology is already operational at major airports including ATL, DCA, DAL, EWR
