If you’ve been reading about “Bird Theory” on social media, you know it doesn’t have much to do with—well, birds. On the other hand, the new Flight Path project partnership between Conshohocken Free Library and Valley Forge Audubon Society is 100 per cent for the birds, in the best way possible.
CFL Branch Manager Holly Holst explains Flight Path is a special program for public libraries sponsored by the Space Science Institute’s STAR Net and Howard Hughes Medical Institute Tangled Bank Studios. During a recent introductory workshop at CFL, VFAS educators shared information about migratory patterns, highlighting birds that winter in this area — the Dark-eyed junco, Yellow-bellied sapsucker and White-throated sparrow.
The two organization expect to hold a follow-up session in the spring.
