Police: Death of woman found in Yellow Creek not suspicious

STRUTHERS Mill Creek Park Police are investigating after a body was recovered from Yellow Creek early Thursday.

First Responders were dispatched to the entrance of Yellow Creek Park at around 6:30 a.m. for what was reported as a deceased female in the water.

Rescue personnel from fire departments and police were gathered in the parking lot, awaiting the arrival of an investigator from the Mahoning County Coroner's office.

Mill Creek Park Police Chief Randy Campana says the woman's family has not been notified of the death yet, but says the family had been looking for her before her body was discovered.

There is no word yet on the circumstances surrounding the incident, but Chief Campana says the death is not suspicious.
