Saturday’s Section 9 Exceptional Senior football game has been canceled due to poor field conditions caused by the snowstorm that hit the Hudson Valley earlier this week.

The game was scheduled to be hosted by Monroe-Woodbury High. The exhibition between Team American and Team National teams showcases seniors throughout the section.

It has become a hit with players and coaches and is organized by the Section Nine Football Coaches Association (SNFCA).

“We have been monitoring the field conditions at Monroe-Woodbury and several other schools,” SNFCA president Ryan Stover said. “Unfortunately, no field area is playable due to the snow/ice from the other day.
