Eagles star defensive tackle Jalen Carter is week-to-week after having a procedure on both of his shoulders on Monday, a league source confirmed to NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Carter, 24, will not play against the Chargers this coming Monday night in Los Angeles as he rehabbed his shoulders. But this is not expected to be a season-ending injury and Carter could return in the next few weeks.

The Eagles have five regular season games left on their schedule.

Carter was clearly bothered by his injuries in the Eagles’ 24-15 loss to the Bears on Black Friday. He wasn’t playing at his usual level and played just 70% of the team’s defensive snaps.
