PITTSBURGH —

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds are USL champions for the first time, and the city is honoring the team with a rally Thursday.

Grant Street is closed between Fourth and Forbes avenues until 2 p.m. for the celebration outside the City-County Building downtown. Fans will have a chance to take pictures with the team and the championship trophy. Advertisement

The Riverhounds defeated FC Tulsa in the title match in Oklahoma to bring home Pittsburgh's first major sports championship since the Penguins won the Stanley Cup in 2017.
