SEATTLE — A suspect is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into Interbay Golf Course in Seattle early Wednesday morning and attempting to flee by jumping from a second-floor balcony, according to police. Police also say they later connected him to a theft at a neighboring community garden.

Seattle police arrested the man after responding to a motion-activated alarm at the golf course, Detective Eric Muñoz said. Officers discovered between $80,000 and $100,000 worth of golf clubs and equipment that appeared to have been staged for removal from the property.

"It seems like he was stacking up the merchandise in a specific area, more than likely, attempting to remove it from the property," Muñoz said.
