A national organization that advocates for the rights of persons with disabilities is calling on the provincial and federal governments to look at funding to help get more people into the workforce.
Jeffrey Normore of the Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work says the different levels of government should look at ways to incentivize inclusion.
He says the federal government is announcing money for the provinces to invest in skilled workers, and he wants to see “clear targets” for persons with disabilities and other underrepresented groups within that.
