CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD is investigating after one person was shot and killed in west Charlotte on Thursday morning.

Around 8:15 a.m., officers responded to the 4800 block of Tuckaseegee Road near Browns Avenue.

Upon arrival, police said they located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

No arrests have been made at this time. The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 704-432-8477.
