The National Weather Service issued an updated report at 1:31 p.m. on Thursday for heavy snow until 2:15 p.m. for Southern Herkimer as well as Montgomery and Schoharie counties.

"At 1:30 p.m., a band of heavy snow was along a line extending from near Ephratah to near Jordanville to West Winfield and moving east at 45 MPH," explains the weather service.

This includes Interstate 90 between exits 27 and 29.

Expect heavy snow in the following locations:

Canajoharie, Fort Plain, and Jordanville around 1:35 p.m.

Johnstown, Fonda, and Ames around 1:40 p.m.

Sharon Springs and Tribes Hill around 1:45 p.m.

Amsterdam and Fort Johnson around 1:50 p.m.
