Parts of Michigan started getting heavy snow in November. Now with the recent cold temperatures coming in steady - and at just the right window for snowmaking - it’s time for skiers and boarders to check their gear bag and get ready to shred.
This weekend marks Opening Day for a slew of Michigan ski areas across both peninsulas. And a few already have opened.
Here’s a list of those announcements so far, and we’ll keep adding to it as the chairlifts start spinning:
Nub’s Nob : Opening Day of this Up North favorite sitting between Petoskey and Harbor Springs will be Saturday, Dec. 6.
“Nub’s Nob will open this December 6 and 7 for skiing and riding. We anticipate having 12 runs open which includes almost every run on our frontside with the exception of Scarface, Chute and Twilight Zone
