Altiman chosen for OJHL showcase

Leamington Flyers goalie Tre Altiman of Walpole Island is the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s third star of the week after stopping 71 of 72 shots in two wins.

He also posted his third shutout of the season.

He is 11-6-0-1 with a 2.19 goals-against average and .929 save percentage.

Altiman has been chosen for the U Sports showcase Monday in Oshawa. Two teams of OJHL 20-year-olds will play in front of Canadian university coaches.

Ex-Chatham Maroons forward Braeden Burke of the Burlington Cougars is on Team Red with Altiman.

The showcase will include a U Sports seminar, an Ontario Tech University arena tour and a post-game meet-and-greet session with university coaches and scouts.
