BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that happened at around 5:49 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3.

Officials confirmed the shooting happened in the 7800 block of Scenic Highway.

Investigators believed that Donovan Pugh was shot during an alleged home invasion. Pugh was pronounced dead on the scene.

The suspect is unknown at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation.
