After some administrative entanglements , Chick-fil-A now hopes to open a third Bloomington restaurant, on the city’s west side, as early as next summer.
The company cleared another major hurdle Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, when it got permission from county officials to be exempted from some local zoning laws to allow additional parking. The chicken chain had in October gotten the green light from city officials, but only after having run into some bureaucratic barriers that prompted a site redesign.
