WESTMINSTER, Md. —

A new holiday experience opens this weekend in Carroll County with a snowy wonderland that's family friendly, indoors and interactive.

One doesn't have to be outside in the cold or wait until after dark to enjoy a holiday light display when a taste of the North Pole awaits at the TownMall of Westminster.

The same people who organized "Hera's Nightmare" for Halloween have created an entirely new family friendly experience with "Hera's Snowy Wonderland."

"We wanted to switch it up for the holiday season to give everyone not just a scare, but now a family event," said Carlos Rivas, who is with Hera's.

Visitors can see reindeer and some of their favorite holiday characters, as well as take pictures along the way at selfie stations throughout the event.
