St. Clair TEC’s Scorch esports squad wrapped its fall season with a first-ever playoff run, racking up wins in Overwatch 2, Valorant and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate across Michigan’s high school league.
Students from across St. Clair County represented TEC at the Michigan High School esports League, according to a community announcement.
The Scorch team posted competitive results across all three competitions. The Overwatch 2 team finished with a 4-4 record, placing 12th in Michigan. The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team had a 5-3 record, finishing 15th in Michigan, and the Valorant team had a 3-5 record, placing 16th in the state.

These results earned each team a spot at the regional playoffs on Nov. 19.
