A 21-year-old man was shot and killed in East Boston Tuesday night, police said.
At around 5:50 p.m., officers responded to 27 Havre St. to a report of a person shot, the Boston Police Department said in a statement.
Officers found the man on scene suffering from a gun shot wound, the statement said.
The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
He was not immediately identified, pending an autopsy and family notification, a spokesperson for the Suffolk district attorney’s office said Wednesday.
No arrests have been made, police said shortly before 9:30 p.m.
The investigation is ongoing.
