FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Two men are facing charges after deputies seized more than 140 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 in Florence County.
Deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Juan Carlos Castillo-Quezada, 27, of California, and Greamy Urena, 29, of New York, on Thursday following a traffic stop.
Both are facing trafficking in marijuana charges after police stopped them for speeding on I-95 and searched their SUV after smelling a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car, deputies say.
The sheriff’s office said deputies searched the SUV and found more than 140 pounds of marijuana and THC wax.
Castillo-Quezada and Urena are both being held at the Florence County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
