The Skippy peanut butter plant at the Port of Little Rock, which was damaged in an early-morning fire in September, is back operating at full capacity, a spokeswoman for Skippy's parent company Hormel Foods Corp. said Thursday.
Hormel's Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer Katie Clark said in a statement that all needed repairs had been made to the plant. The 166,500-square-foot facility, one of the Port's "flagship customers" according to the port's executive director, produces 11 varieties of Skippy peanut butter and is the company's only facility in the United States
"We are excited to continue to bring this beloved brand and products to consumers with the support of the Little Rock community," Clark said in a statement.
