JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The sound of a train horn is one some drivers in San Marco are beginning to dread.

Drivers shared there've been several instances in a week where a train stopped on the tracks on Atlantic Boulevard, backing up traffic for more than an hour.

"It's just scrolling, wasting time," said Stephanie Aiken, who crosses the tracks daily to get from her home in Springfield to work in San Marco.

Aiken has knocked out a decent amount of her Christmas shopping this week - on her drive home from work.

That's because she says she's been caught by the train in San Marco, with it just stopped on the tracks for 45 minutes at a time.

Aiken says one driver got particularly creative to kill the time, throwing her car in park and walking out.
