INDIANAPOLIS -- Pacers guard Ben Sheppard will miss Friday's game against the Bulls in Chicago with a left calf strain according to the official injury report released Thursday evening.

The Pacers have been clobbered by injuries all season, but Sheppard had not yet missed a game. He was asked to start at point guard when the Pacers were missing point guards Andrew Nembhard and T.J. McConnell as well as All-Star Tyrese Haliburton, who is out for the season. That seemed to harm his efficiency, but he has been finding a rhythm recently. In Wednesday's loss to the Nuggets, he scored 14 points on 5 of 5 shooting including 3 of 3 from 3-point range.
