A new Canadian Forces command has been created to better co-ordinate joint military capabilities, including health care and logistics.
The creation of Canadian Joint Forces Command or CJFC was announced Thursday by the Liberal government.

Lt.-Gen. Darcy Molstad and Chief Warrant Officer Donovan Crawford have been named as the inaugural CJFC command team.
The command, to be based for now at the Department of National Defence’s Carling Avenue campus in Ottawa , will oversee existing capabilities that provide support for the Canadian Forces, Molstad said in an interview.
Those include military health services, logistics and operational support branches as well as joint force development.
