PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A woman was taken to the hospital after a fight she wasn’t involved in ended with a shooting and she was hit in south Phoenix on Thursday evening.
It happened around 4 p.m. in the area of Third Street and Sunland Avenue , which is north of Southern Avenue.
Police said two women were arguing, which escalated into a fight. One of them then pulled out a gun and fired it multiple times. One of the rounds hit a woman who was nearby but wasn’t fighting.
She was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries but should survive, police said.
Everyone involved is on the scene and has been identified. No word on what led up to the argument or if anyone will face charges.
