COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Columbus Fire and EMS is responding to a structure fire at 2025 6th Avenue.

The fire involves a vacant rental property, according to Deputy Chief Daniel Macon. Six units and 14 firefighters are on scene battling the blaze.

One firefighter sustained a minor injury during the response, but the injury is not serious, Macon said. No other injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
