Former domestic violence prosecutor takes seat as new district court judge

Frederick County's former chief domestic violence prosecutor was formally invested as a new judge for the local district court on Thursday.

At a ceremony in a packed circuit courtroom at the Frederick County Courthouse, Brett Joann Engler received her first judicial robe as the newly seated associate judge of the District Court of Maryland, Eleventh District, which covers Frederick and Washington counties.
