Traffic investigators have cleared a driver who collided with a bicyclist in Portland’s Hazelwood neighborhood two months ago, Portland Police Bureau officials announced Thursday.
Felipe Barajas-Nolazco, 55, was cycling west in the bike lane on Northeast Glisan Street near 111th Avenue when he collided with a motorist traveling in the same direction about 6:20 p.m. Oct. 29. The bike lane features a large painted buffer in that area.
Police said the driver, who they did not identify , remained at the scene and that their actions “did not contribute to the collision.” A bureau spokesperson didn’t immediately respond when asked to elaborate.
The driver is not expected to face citations or criminal charges, according to police.
