Leading a high school basketball team wasn’t something John saw himself doing until recently.

“Opportunities kept coming my way but I didn’t really see myself as a coach,” said John, whose Mustangs fell to 1-2 on the season following a 52-46 loss at North Park Collegiate to the Trojans (2-1) on Thursday in Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk action.
