The Russian President, along with 7 Russian ministers, is on a two-day state visit starting Thursday. Vladimir Putin landed at Delhi's Palam airport at around 7 pm. He is scheduled for two major meetings with Prime Minister Modi today, one of which will be a closed-door meeting.

It is expected that around 25 agreements between Russia and India will be sealed during Putin's ongoing visit. Moreover, he will also receive a state reception at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and visit the Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi today.

Dignitaries from both countries will attend the 23rd India-Russia annual summit at Hyderabad House, New Delhi. Both leaders are also scheduled to address the Business Forum in the evening, followed by a state dinner hosted by the Indian President Droupadi Murmu.
