Mohali native Dr Jagpreet Chhatwal has received the inaugural Impact Award from The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) alongside colleague Dr Rachael Fleurence for their work to eliminate Hepatitis C in the United States (US) recently. The award recognises how health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) can directly shape policy and improve public health. Their multiyear collaboration on Hepatitis C elimination in the US brought together partners across academia, government, and industry — including the White House, NIH, NBER, FDA, and US Congress — to generate actionable evidence that could drive real-world impact.
