The death of 18-year-old Anna Kepner on a cruise ship has complicated the divorce proceedings of her stepmother, Shauntel Hudson, with new court filings and a subpoena for her father.

Court documents were filed on Thursday by Shauntel's ex-husband, one day before a scheduled hearing at the Moore Justice Center in Viera, Florida, on Dec 5.

The most significant element of this new filing is that it describes how Anna Kepner was found.

According to the documents, "The 18-year-old daughter was found asphyxiated under the bed in the room which she shared with (redacted).

The emergency motion filed today also says Shauntel took her children on the cruise without her ex-husband's consent.
