The Fresno City Council proclaimed Thursday as the California Apartment Association Day.

The city issued a proclamation to the association, which represents owners, investors, developers, managers and suppliers of rental homes and apartment communities across the state.

Driving the news: Fresno has worked with the California Apartment Association on various policies, including the Anti-Slum Enforcement Team (ASET) in 2016 and the Rental Housing Improvement Act (RHIA) in 2017. • The association also worked with the city through the COVID-19 pandemic to educate landlords on relief funding and on keeping Fresno families housed, among other projects.
