KILLEEN, Texas — The Killeen Police Department is offering a $1,000 reward for information that could help solve an unsolved murder case.
The department is asking the public for help bringing "justice and closure" to the family of William Donnell Spellman , who was shot and killed in August 2024.
Killeen Police said officers responded to a shots fired call at a business along East Hallmark Avenue around 10:57 p.m. on Aug. 8, 2024. Spellman was reportedly found on the scene, having been shot. Police said Spellman died at the scene.
According to Killeen Police, investigators have heard witness statements that describe a black SUV approaching Spellman and firing several shots before driving off at "high speed." Security video reportedly confirms the statements.
