BILLINGS, Mont. – The Federal Bureau of Investigation has expanded its presence in Montana with the official opening of a new field office in Billings.

The agency held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday afternoon at the new location on Third Avenue North.

The new office marks the country's 56th FBI field office, demonstrating the bureau's commitment to enhancing public safety and strengthening partnerships with state, local, federal and tribal agencies.

The Billings office will oversee the FBI's existing satellite offices across Montana, bringing more investigative resources closer to communities in the Treasure State.
