Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on Thursday that India and Russia are looking to build “more balanced and mutually rewarding trade” as they aim to push bilateral trade beyond $100 billion by 2030.

Speaking at the India–Russia Business Forum, Goyal said India sees “promising avenues for collaboration in consumer goods, food and agriculture, pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, telecom and electronics, industrial components, and the mobility of skilled talent.” Advertisement

The forum was held ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India for the 23rd India-Russia Summit, where the two countries will discuss ways to strengthen their strategic partnership.
