ReNew Photovoltaics, a subsidiary of ReNew Energy Global PLC, will be setting up a greenfield 6 GW Solar Ingot–Wafer Manufacturing plant in plant at Rambilli in Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh with an investment of ₹3,990 crore.

This upcoming project will be India’s first commercial-scale integrated ingot-wafer manufacturing unit—producing the core building blocks used for solar cells and modules.

The investment proposal was approved by the Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday. It will be placed before the Cabinet for final approval next week. The MoU was inked during partnership summit held in Visakhapatnam last month.
