Schools across Coventry and Warwickshire will today be celebrating being named among the best in the West Midlands. They have been named in the Sunday Times Parent Power 2026 Guide which has been published today (December 5).
A national title has been taken by St Mary’s RC Primary School, in Henley in Arden, which was crowned Small Primary School of the Year 2026. King Edward VI School in Stratford was named the top state secondary school in the West Midlands.
Stratford Girls’ Grammar School came third in this category with Rugby School ranked as tenth top state secondary school. In the top ten secondary independent schools in the West Midlands, Warwick School is ranked as fifth with Coventry's Bablake School at ninth and King Henry VIII School ranked as tenth.
